Ryan Dickson

Worship Pastor

Ryan joined the staff at First Baptist as our Worship Pastor in November of 2022 and is a native of Denison. His background contains a variety of experiences including writing, playing, and recording music for the better part of twenty years. In addition, Ryan has been involved in church ministry since 2012. He has served as a worship pastor for churches in Denison, TX and Pottsboro, TX and as a resource for other worship pastors across the Texoma area. He still writes and records his own music which can be found on iTunes, Spotify or any other online music stores or music streaming platforms. He believes that while we use music to facilitate worship through singing, worship is not about music. Following the definition of worship found in Romans 12:1, which states we are to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to God, he strives to model a lifestyle of sincere worship every day.

Ryan married his wife Megan in 2014 and they have 2 children, Myles and Audrey. Of course, being a musician, he loves listening to, playing, writing, and talking about music. When he isn’t doing that, you can find him spending time with his family. He is also a huge football fan and loves the Denison Yellow Jackets, Oklahoma State Cowboys, and Dallas Cowboys!
