The men of First Baptist Denison work to support one another and to point each other to Jesus. Many of our men serve quietly in the background to maintain our property, keep us safe, and serve those in need. Others take more visible roles to teach, to lead, and to encourage the church. Here are some of our ministry opportunities for men:
Tuesday nights at 6:00. This group exists to learn more about the Bible, pray for one another, and plan ministry in the community. Check the church calendar for details.
In addition to taking leading service roles in our Love Out Loud and Block Party ministries, our men are always looking for opportunities to make a tangible difference in our community. One annual ministry is our oil change ministry for single moms and widows.
Designed like a “stay-at-home retreat” consisting of a Friday evening and Saturday morning event, the Men and Boys’ Weekend is an opportunity for the guys of our church and their guests to get together to be encouraged and challenged in their journey with Christ, to eat great food, and to have a lot of fun together. The event includes dinner, breakfast, and axe-throwing.
